Why is our country sinking? What has happened to the Manifest Destiny of America? There are a myriad of symptoms that we can examine, one by one; but, I see the core of all our woes as having one root: Our elimination of God and moral guidelines from our public institutions.

America has been the “light on a hill” for two centuries. We have given hope, strength and vital assistance to every continent of the world. We have been “the land of opportunity.” – How can we revive ourselves and continue on as the leader of the world?

Every American child in my generation and in centuries past recited these words every school day: “One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” – The belief in a power higher than ourselves who we can put our trust in to be our light, guide, defender and strength has been a bulwark of the American consciousness; but, now it is has been systematically eliminated from every governmental institution, especially our schools. – Our nation no longer has a moral compass. Every person is now free to do whatever seems right to them. Righteousness is now relative and therefore irrelevant.

Our nation must promote the belief in a benevolent Creator, who instructs us to “Love each other more than ourselves.” – What possible benefit was it to our nation when our Supreme Court ordered the removal of the Ten Commandments from all government buildings? – Much to the contrary, our government must support and completely endorse every tenant of those laws. They are the backbone of a successful, prosperous society; as well as, the keelson of our national conscience.
