Technical Product Marketing Manager (Electrical Engineer)

An immediate opportunity for an experienced and seasoned Technical Product Marketing Manager in our LSI Design Center, located in San Jose, CA. This position reports to the DC General Manager. Qualified individuals will have demonstrated experience in the planning and execution through the product lifecycle to include, but not limited, to gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and working closely with LSI engineering, other DCs, sales, business development, marketing and support to ensure that growth and goals are achieved.
Responsibilities include coordinate the design centers operational activities related to the Consumer and/or PC markets, new emerging business; analyze and explore potential markets and applications; generate high-level business plans; promote ROHMs LSI portfolio, roadmaps and competencies and provide support to Sales and FAEs. Demonstrated ability to gather, interpret and provide feedback on customer requirements(CRS/RFI/RFQ), deliver MRDs and PRDs, market and competition analysis, work with external 3rd parties, perform product demos to customers; define product pricing; deliver reports and forecast; propose budgets and requirements; generate sales collateral and train sales and FAEs; and other duties as assigned. Expertise with respect to associated technology products and competition is required. Technical knowledge in power micro-controllers, AD/DA, LDO, LED Drivers, USB, HDMI and Ethernet are a few. Market or application experience in LSI Design, mix-signal product markets, power management, audio/video, sensor, or control is necessary.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineer, MBA preferred. Fifteen years’ of successful experience in the electronics or semiconductor industry, with 5+ years as a proven technical PMM or related role. Demonstrated success defining and launching new products is required. Must be able to travel 30% (domestic and international). Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Bilingual skill in English/Mandarin is highly desired. English/Japanese is also a plus. Must possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
