Special Programs Financial Analyst

Provides financial and programmatic support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) under the Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) contract to Counter WMD Technologies Directorate. Assists in planning, budgeting and execution of research and development (R&D) programs. Performs economic research and conducts financial and expense analysis to assess progress and identify potential financial and execution problems. Advises DTRA’s R&D managers in development, analysis and justifying R&D program budgets. Assists coordination of contract planning documentation, business plans and other obligation documents. Supports monitoring and reporting of program financial execution. Maintains project data in the Comprehensive Cost and Reporting system (CCaRs). Supports internal business processes, and conducts program cost analyses. Is considered a financial/business management expert within the organization.
The position requires a BA in business (accounting/management) or technical degree (BS). Individual must have seven seven years experience in DoD's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) system and working knowledge of acquisition or R&D program management—six years experience with a Masters degree. Must understand DoD accounting systems. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The individual must have exceptional Microsoft Excel and financial database skills. Analysts must have excellent skills using a personal computer and Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Must have proven record as a team member and be able to complete work with minimum guidance and supervision. Work is performed in TASC and customer's facilities located at Fort Belvoir, VA and/or Herndon, VA. Security clearance: Current TS/SCI. Salary Range: $90-100K annually, based upon experience and education. This is an immediate requirement.
