Instrument/Controls Technician
Troubleshoot, calibrate, maintain, and install plant instrumentation. Perform maintenance programming on PLCs and basic electrical work. Assist in general and preventative maintenance activities with other technicians.

Qualified applicants will meet the following minimum requirements:
•5 years experience in industrial instrumentation
•Ability to read electronic and pneumatic schematics
•Ability to design and troubleshoot instrumentation systems
•Understanding of chemical plant processes while demonstrating good safety practices
•High School diploma or GED
•Mechanical aptitude
•Ability to rotate weekend on-call responsibility
•Must be available for after-hour/weekend call-outs

• Support the implementation of capital projects for the modification or optimisation of plant and offshore systems, equipment, and facilities.
• Provide technical advice and support on the design, construction, and modification of static equipments, piping and piping components, HVAC, and lifting equipments.

Key Result Areas :

• Prepares design, engineering specifications, and field support for static equipment, piping systems, HVAC, and lifting equipment.
• Trouble-shoot operating plant field-troubles in line with the Operations and Maintenance requirements.
• Perform and review design calculations according to ASME Sec VIII Div 1 and 2, TEMA, API etc.

Job Requirements :

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in design and engineering of process piping and static equipment in onshore and offshore oil/gas processing facilities.
• Knowledge of the relevant international standards and codes of practice used in onshore and offshore oil and gas industry such as API, ANSI, ASME, ISO is required.
• Experience in pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II OR Pressure vessel design related software PV ELITE, COMPRESS, B-JAC, CODECALC, NOZZLE PRO etc. and piping material selection is mandatory.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
