Housing Community for US Veterans

A New Vision for US Veteran Housing

Green US Veteran Communities
A new concept for US veteran housing and family homeless shelters: It will benefit them, their community, our nation and the world.

A new and different concept of community housing must be implemented worldwide. Let it begin with the housing solutions we provide for our US veterans and their families.

Instead of constructing more of the same, let’s envision and create a model for 21st century community. Almost every community in America, both homes and apartments are based on a philosophy of isolation and independence. We all live next door to hundreds of people who we do not know and have not any reason to know. – This seemed to work out very well during the 20th century, until its mass consumption of energy resources and its waste brought our nation’s economy to its knees and our lavish lifestyle to an end. We cannot continue down that road anylonger. We need a new philosophy. We need a new vision. Here is HirePatriots:

The world is now a Global economy and all countries are inter-locked and dependent on the availability of essential resources. This is scary because there is no safety net if that economic structure collapses. And so a critical aspect of our national defense strategy must include a game plan for this horrific possibility.

The leadership of any country that fails to take action in preparation for an apocalyptic occurrence as the result of economic, political, ecological or natural event is not acting responsibly towards its citizens.

In the 21st century, everyone must cooperate in insuring their community’s independence and self-sufficiency. Each local community must have the ability to feed and employ its residents and provide the energy resources necessary to do so. It must be a truly Green society that relies on recycling as a source of raw materials for the manufacture of new consumer goods. And they must become accustomed to a daily practice of sustainable living principles.

Ceasing the depletion of our earth’s essential resources and the infliction of harm on the environment is a necessity we all share.

So the leadership of HirePatriots has created the plans for a Green, energy self-sufficient, agriculturally sustainable, and financially independent veteran community. It will be the prototype for communities all across our nation. – Just as we have storm shelters to keep us safe from hurricanes and tornadoes, we will have we will have life sustaining technology and services available for every US citizen.

Military veterans make perfect candidates for creating a prototype for this new community. They already share many things in common. Most veterans are most comfortable and at ease when in the company of others who also served in the Armed Forces. They have lived and functioned together as a well-oiled military machine. They have all had a ‘communal’ experience in the military; and, they value it throughout their lifetimes. They share an appreciation for military training, discipline and experience. And they have a mutual code of values and conduct.

Our new veteran housing will include its own police, fire, schools, day care, vocational training, agriculture, water and a variety of energy alternatives. It will also have a certified organic garden and a license to sell its produce. As well, it will create additional financial opportunities through recycling and entrepreneurial projects adopted by the community.

Every adult member of the community will participate in the maintenance of the community, it preservation and welfare. Any member who fails to live in goodwill and act in accordance to with the will of the community and labors to support it will be declared a trespasser.

Notes:

USMC Code of Values: Teamwork: All for one, one for all: A combination of selfless determination and relentless dedication to excellence.

First Church: “All the believers shared everything they had. They shared their possessions with those who had need. They shared their meals together and experienced great joy. And they enjoyed the goodwill of people.” Acts 2: 44-47

Hello, I'm Mark Baird and I founded Hire Patriots. My wife and I are 'helpers.' We are concerned about meeting the practical needs of our US veterans veterans and their families. We began a job board for local residents to post chores that they need help with. It has been very successful. Thousands of local US Military and veterans partially or entirely support themselves from our website. We are looking for others near US Military bases who would also like to have a HirePatriots.com website for their location. We also hold welcome home parties, military marriage retreats, job fairs and create military family gardens.
