Right out of high school, she joined the Marines and did really well. She became a Sgt. after 4 years and then left to pursue her degree. She was a junior in college and she loved her accounting classes. She had just gotten married to a Marine and her husband was headed back to Iraq.
She applied for lots and lots of part time jobs by answering newspaper ads, but a job did not appear. Then she heard about HirePatriots.com. She helped a retired officer, disabled from MS, with housecleaning. She was hired by a Korean war veteran to organize his files and paperwork for his taxes. She helped a young teacher move on a Saturday. Her husband found jobs on the weekend as well. They used the extra money to start a special fund for the first house they planned to buy.
These one day jobs blessed this former Marine. Lots of the people who hired her had her back again and again to help with projects and chores. They thanked her for her sacrifice and service. And quite a few senior citizens were blessed with a tremendously hard worker for the day. Many of these clients became her friends. Including the founders of HirePatriots.com.
She helped us move when we unexpectedly had to go out of town. She fixed our computers. She cleaned my house. She made banners for special events. She helped with job fairs, laundry, assembled furniture, hung drapes, hooked up our surround sound and much, much, more.
Across the country veterans from Hawaii to Washington DC. are getting their local job boards going. If you have a company and you have job openings please post them on our site. If you are a patriotic supporter and you would like to thank our active duty military and veterans in a practical way please look around your house and post a one day job. Tell your neighbors to do so as well.

We have what we call a “chicken and egg thing” with HirePatriots.com. We need businesses and residents to post their one day – full time jobs on the site before we tell the active duty military and veterans about our site. We need volunteers to pitch in and help our regional leaders spread the word.
Can you give a talk at your local Rotary club? Can you put up fliers and posters? Can you volunteer to call the local media and help the regional leader get on TV, Radio, and in the local newspapers. Boy! would that help us help more Vets.
Would you consider helping us form a “HirePatriots Club” so that others can volunteer and brainstorm with our regional leaders?
HirePatriots is a grass roots effort. We are a collection of regional local job boards run by veterans and patriots who care. They want an unemployed vet to have a way to feed his family while he looks for a job. They want a local military spouse to have a website to go to that has lots and lots of one day jobs when she needs to pay a needed cell phone bill and her husband is overseas. Our regional leaders would appreciate your help.
If you care about G.I.s and Vets please pitch in and help us make a wonderful idea and American institution.
