We are very excited to announce the next two classes for the Safeway Military Leadership Development Program in 2012: June 18 and September 24. Attached please find program and benefits information for you to share with anyone you feel might be interested.
Our Leadership Development Program prepares military officers to become Store Managers (JMO), First Assistant Store Managers (NCO), Distribution Center Warehouse Superintendents (JMO), Warehouse Supervisors (NCO), or Manufacturing Plant Maintenance Engineering Managers (JMO) in our dynamic retail stores, distribution centers, or manufacturing plants. Our 41-week program includes a combination of on-the-job training, interacting with coworkers and customers on the sales floor, classroom seminars, job shadowing with various retail and backstage employees, and independent study, as well as participating in numerous department and divisional meetings. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are placed into their positions full-time.
We are currently recruiting for our June 18th class in the following retail store locations for the following openings:
Store Manager: Northern California and Chicago areas.
1st Assistant Store Managers: Phoenix and Portland areas.
Warehouse Supervisors: Alaska, Tracy California, Santa Fe Springs California, and Denver areas.
