United Truck Driving School has been successfully training truck drivers since 1978. Graduates are able to take their commercial license and go to work for any company they want. There is no specific obligation of employment after graduation. Students who are eligible will have pre-employment offers before they graduate and can select the company that they want to go to work for as soon as the graduate. The commercial driver’s license is issued through the DMV using training equipment that belongs to United and students graduate with a license issued by the State of California. United Truck Driving School is accredited and can accept the Post 9/11 GI Bill as well as Workforce and Rehab funding. Our programs are as follows:
Class A/P CDL / 4.5 week / 186 hour program
The Class A/P CDL program combines both the Class A and Class BP programs into one 4.5-week course. This course is offered every two weeks. The program includes general knowledge, combinations, airbrakes, doubles/triples, tanks, hazmat and passenger endorsement. A Class A/P license allows a driver to operate any legal combination of vehicles or buses, including Class B and Class C vehicles. Students will have hands on training in pre-trip inspection / COLA-P, skills and road to prepare for the DMV tests. The graduating student will have complete training driving both big rigs and passenger buses.
Class A CDL / 4 week / 160 hour program
The Class A CDL program begins every two weeks. A Class A license allows a driver to operate any legal combination of vehicles, including Class B and Class C vehicles. This program includes everything mentioned above except bus driving and passenger endorsement.
Class B/P CDL / 3 week / 120 hour program
This Class B/P program includes general knowledge, air brakes, tanks, hazmat and passenger endorsement. A Class B/P license allows a driver to operate a single vehicle with a GVWR of more than 26,000 lbs or a passenger bus. Students will have hands on training in pre-trip inspection / COLA-P, skills and road to prepare for the DMV tests. The graduating student will complete training driving a passenger bus.
