I am excited to write about a veteran business owner that I met last week. I am excited because he is a fellow veteran and because he has hired veterans to work with him and help his business grow. Also, his business involves two of my favorite past times, cooking and eating. ACI Caterers is small veteran owned business in the Greater Tampa Bay community.
I experienced firsthand how they take the hassle out of entertaining.Last week I attended the Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School Sports Banquet and have to admit, I was expecting your typical banquet rubber chicken meal. Boy was I surprised. Chef Bobby Anderson and his team prepared a feast made for generals. For those of you that have military experience, you can truly appreciate what I mean by this. ACI prepared a delicious meal and desserts for this banquet that surely got my attention. It did not take me long to realize that he has talents and he is using them.
Chef Anderson is a retired non-commissioned officer and chef that served in the United States Army. He has been the personal chef for senior army generals, and has literally fed hundreds of thousands of troops. He has been trained by some of the best in the business and has attended a number of culinary schools and has enough experiences under his belt to have his own cooking show. Yes he is that good. In fact, I plan to use his services for a small private party soon.
Ok not impressed yet? Read on. Chef Anderson has prepared meals on the Presidential Yacht for President Bill Clinton, Vice President Dick Cheney, Alexander Haig, Madeline Albright, Mrs. Clinton and numerous Congressmen, Senators, Heads of State. He has prepared meals for Hank Aaron and his wife, Billye Williams, and most recently, student athletes from Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School.
