My concern is this: America had parades as our youth responded to 9/11 by joining the military and were sent off to the horrors and carnage of battle. Patriotism was at it peak. Everyone wanted to praise, support and thank our troops. — But now, ten years later, as our soldiers return from combat and return to the civilian world, where are all of the patriotic supporters that sent them there? Where are the parades now?
HirePatriots is a simple way to continue to say thank you in a practical way that meets the immediate needs of our faithful warriors. — It gives them a means to earn money everyday and to support themselves and their families. — It begins with residents: They post One Day jobs when they need help around their homes and yards. Our military and transitioned veterans often live below the poverty line. Being able to work for extra income is a God-send to many of them. — And of course, companies can post full time jobs for free too, because our ultimate goal is to firmly establish them again in the civilian world with sustainable, continuous employment.
I your area you have thousands of active duty and tens of thousands of recent veterans living nearby. — We have found that all we need to do is to inform residents about our program and then it takes off like a rocket. — Our website ranks in the top 1% of all US websites because residents fall in love with our troops all over again when they have an opportunity to have them over to their homes and to meet them.
My belief is that we need to help our transitioning vets find a means to earn money immediately. Too many are waiting years to find a sustainable full time job. And we lose too many during that time to substance abuse, divorce, jail, madness and suicide.
Giving them a daily string of One Day jobs until we can find them a full time job is the only thing that makes sense to me. I hope that you join us in this effort.
