Why I Use HirePatriots: By Dee McKay

Have you ever needed an extra pair of hands to help around the house? Do you have a business that occasionally needs day labor? Getting ready to do a major garage cleaning, yard clearing, house painting, or perhaps moving? Looking for more permanent employees?

Use to find and hire military personnel to give you the needed hand. You can rely on them to show up, work hard, and treat you and your job with respect. You can hire service men and women for a couple of hours, or for a few days. also has a section for full and part time career employment opportunities.

Here is how it works. First you go to the clear and easy to use, register and post your job opportunity. The jobs are classified by type such as painting, construction, housekeeping, etc., and the job poster determines the estimated amount of time required, and what they will pay for the work. After the job is posted, military personnel view the available jobs and contact the employers. Then you, the employer, make the arrangements as to time, location, compensation, and directions to your job.

We have used the service many times. The kids (to us) we have hired have always performed beyond our expectations. Our first experience with them was so smooth we suspected we had just gotten lucky. We posted a painting job (the entire interior of our home), and two days later two combat veterans from Pendleton came to the house and helped us get the job done in a single day. Happily, all of our subsequent jobs have gone just as well.

Since we are getting older, we occasionally find that we need to hire someone on a same day basis. Last summer, in order to repair a fence in time for HOA review, we had to find help at the last minute. I got on, and in less than two hours, a great young Marine from Alabama, stationed at Pendleton, arrived and did the job – in 90 degree heat – without complaint. We took him to lunch, paid him a little extra for his hard work, and sent him on his way. Oh, I almost forgot, we had SEVEN phone calls on our ad in the first hour and had to take it down within 90 minutes of posting.

You cannot lose with First, you are assured that your work will be done well, by legal citizens who can always use the extra cash, and you tangibly support our troops. And the best perk; you get to meet some very nice people.

Hello, I'm Mark Baird and I founded Hire Patriots. My wife and I are 'helpers.' We are concerned about meeting the practical needs of our US veterans veterans and their families. We began a job board for local residents to post chores that they need help with. It has been very successful. Thousands of local US Military and veterans partially or entirely support themselves from our website. We are looking for others near US Military bases who would also like to have a website for their location. We also hold welcome home parties, military marriage retreats, job fairs and create military family gardens.
