The Patriotic Hearts charity was founded when an Iraq War veteran knocked on our door and asked if there were any chores that he could do for us.
He needed the money to get the utilities turned back on in his home for his wife and children. She had been laid off from her job and their finances were failing.
Our first program was HirePatriots.com. It has two job boards: An “Off-Duty” job board for active-duty US military, veterans, and their spouses, where residents post for free.
And our “Careers” job board for companies looking to employ US Military trained citizens.
Then, when we discovered that combat veterans lead the country in broken marriages, we began hosting free marriage weekends for them at romantic resorts.
Our programs have grown over the years. Our most recent program helps them pay urgent bills.
