I am a disabled veteran who aggravated his injuries while working as a DoD contractor in Afghanistan. I returned home, broken, and tired. I made a promise to my wife that all would be OK.
As I recovered, I started to research different business ventures to invest in or to start. I had experienced being a business owner, but I wanted something that I would enjoy passing on to my sons. By being a Military Veteran, I was comfortable in starting a cleaning company or even a security company. I decided on cleaning. – Then, I ran across Mark Baird’s page on LinkedIn and looked at the U. S. Military Maintenance opportunity for US Veterans.
I must say that I was very impressed! It was a professional site, very well laid out and easy to navigate. I then sat in on a few of their informational conference calls and was blown away at the professionalism that was shown by all participants. The opportunity for success presented by US Military Clean owners convinced me that this was what I was looking for. There were over 40 other business owners, and they all shared their success and failures. They were a team that I had to be a part of.
I partnered up with a fellow Veteran, Tony Campbell, who also had experience in the cleaning field. Together, we have been blessed with a contract to do post construction clean-up for a townhome complex. That same client will be breaking ground on 3 new properties in the next few weeks! We have been awarded contracts for post construction clean up for nine convenience stores that are being constructed by an Air Force Veteran! We have been awarded contracts to clean commercial kitchens of senior care facilities.
Our business is growing very quickly!
