I am not an avid bird watcher; although, I do keep binoculars nearby my office window. I find that looking for birds and watching them imbues me with peace and subtle happiness. Certainly, I am taken away from my worldly worries for those minutes. – My favorite are the common Sparrows. They always are in a crowd of fellow Sparrows. I am envious. As a writer, I am required to be alone most of every day. (So I can hear my own thoughts and voice.) So, I often say to myself, “If I had to be born as anything else, I would want to be a Sparrow.)
