Why Good Americans Support Our Troops

When US citizens enlist in the US Military, they make numerous sacrifices, especially ‘personal freedoms’. — They must follow orders from their superiors, and they may be deployed to dangerous locations and be exposed to combat and other hazards. US Military members risk their lives to protect ours!
Enlisted members of the US Military typically serve for four years, and officers serve for at least eight years. This means that service members must sacrifice time with their families and friends, as well as opportunities for education and career advancement.
Military service is inherently dangerous. Those who enlist may be deployed to a war zone where they could be killed or injured; or stationed on a ship for months at a time away from their family and friends.
Military service can also take a toll on a person’s physical and mental health. They often endure physical injuries, as well as stress, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). — These apparent and hidden wounds affect their families and loved ones too.
Despite these sacrifices, many people choose to enlist in the US Military because they believe in serving their country and protecting their fellow citizens. They are willing to put their lives on the line to defend the United States and its values.
Patriotic Hearts has been providing essential support services to US Military, Veterans, and their families for decades. We provide retreats, jobs, and business start-ups. And we tirelessly encourage all Americans to honor their sacrifices.
