I have been serving US military, veterans, and their families since the 1970s. That was during the final years of Vietnam. That long war had worn-out the American public. There were riots in the streets across the country demanding the end of that war. And US Marines, soldiers, sailors, and airmen were treated badly when seen in public wearing their uniforms. – These veterans were mostly teenagers when they joined or were drafted. They honored their country’s call to duty! They did not ask WHY? They did what their country asked them to do. And many died and were wounded that did so!
Today in America we are experiencing something different toward our US veterans: APATHY! A 20-year war has worn down their compassion. With a stagnant economy for the last 70 years, where Americans are earning less and less as everything costs more and more, Covid, political upheaval, … too many are just concerned about themselves than for their fellow countrymen who are risking and losing their lives to keep America going!
There is one simple but powerful thing every American can do to show their appreciation and regard for our loyal, brave, America-loving US military, veterans, and their families. Go to HirePatriots.com and post a job for one or more US veterans to help you with chores around your home or yard! It’s free to do so. Hire a local US military, veteran, or military spouses to help you out. Pay them personally, whatever you can afford.
You may need to let your local community know so that the residents and veterans in your area can find out about this great patriotic resource. We will help you spread the word! At no cost, we will build your area’s own HirePatriots local job board. We will notify the Press, TV, and radio. We will also let your County Supervisors know, and your Chamber of Commerce, Mayor and City Council. Pretty soon everyone will know, and local residents, companies, and veterans will be helping eachother!
