Keisha and I would like to thank you for the wonderful weekend at the marriage retreat. The knowledge and counsel that we received gave my wife and I numerous resources to enhance our relationship. We also enjoyed the food and fellowship.

We really hope that HirePatriots takes off beyond its current confines, in order to give Veterans from all background and ages a chance to be financially sufficient, and to shake off the current stigma that is cast upon them.

Once again, we would like to thank you, Tori, Mark, and all those that volunteered to make the retreat possible, for making that Veterans Day weekend exciting and magical. Please feel free to e-mail us and keep in touch. Let us know if you have need of any volunteers as well.

I LOVE HIRE PATRIOTS!

When my husband & I retired & moved from Carlsbad, CA we had 3 Marines from Camp Pendleton load our very large moving van. They were WONDERFUL. They worked hard, never complained, did a terrific job, were friendly, careful with our stuff & could not do enough for us! Thank God for Hire Patriots!!!

I have told many folks of the great work these brave patriots have done.

Thank you so very much! I can not say nearly enough about how wonderful this group is!!!

P S My husband is a veteran of many years ago.

Deb & Paul

Just a note to let you know that we had two really great troopers today to move out furniture, one from Georgia and the other from Oklahoma. They were, as I’d expect, excellent representatives of our Marine Corp.
Once again a great service the Hire Patriots.

Mark and Tori Baird began www.HirePatriots.com because of seeing so many young military men and women in town and then going home and watching the news of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. They knew that many of the young military personnel they saw were going into those combat zones. The stress that these soldiers and their families experienced the Bairds could only imagine. They wanted to help.

Thanks for all you do.

Dear Mark,

We are still in contact with the Marine we hired through you. In fact, we basically “adopted” him and he considers us family……..he has even house sat for us, and I know we will be invited to his wedding when ever that happen. He sent us flowers one time with a beautiful note re: the difference we’ve made in his life. He’s done so much for us in turn by his service. We would not have met him without you, thank you !

Mark and Tori,

I’ve only read your history and briefly looked over the web site. I was told about it just now by a friend who knew I would be interested. Let me say Thank You both a thousand times for your lives and your work. I’ve been very pleased to see the patriotism shown for our vets by lots of people but yours is over the top– helping them help themselves and others.

I am a Viet Nam Marine Corps Vet who flew Huey gunships there in ’66-’67 then Cobras in 1972. Lots of Americans show that they care, in so many different ways. Your work is so deeply appreciated by this old vet. I will certainly spread the Gospel about your work and the web site. Please tell me how to locate HirePatriots web sites for other cities — Los Angeles, any in the States of Mississippi, Georgia, Oregon, Virginia and North Carolina.

Troy Miller, a US veteran, helped me move a refrigerator across town. He brought a pickup truck and a heavy duty refrigerator dolly. He was really prepared. He definitely knew what he was doing and was a very nice guy. I recommended him to to others for moving jobs.

Great service – HirePariots!
Thanks, Bryan

Mark,

I really wish to extend my most sincere appreciation for the opportunity to share in your guidance toward the enrichment of our marriage.Between 3 deployments, and three years of pure hell on recruiting duty in New York, we almost lost what we had. It has been as the Beatles said, “Along and winding road” but it is a journey well worth persevering to once again enjoy the fruits of a marriage and healthy relationship. I look forward to a weekend away from the kids, and time well spent with my wife.

Hi Mark: Being a veteran myself, I am just happy there are people like you helping out our Veterans. I have contact on a regular basis with our recruiting team as well, so if I can help pass along resumes, will be happy to. Thank you, Chris

Hi there,

I rec’ved many valuable responses to my posting for a handy man to help around the house. How awesome is this!!!! I wished I could have done this 6 months ago but I couldn’t get on to post at the website. A lady from your office helped me yesterday. (THANK YOU!)

Mark, I saw your info linked from a Westmont Alumni discussion and looked trough your profile. I just want to say THANK YOU for your work. I’m a 7 year Navy Vet. I am an elderly single woman that is not allowed to climb a ladder. Through my advertisements on your website I have now had four people come to my home to help me with the odd jobs that I cannot do. I have been blessed to meet each one of them. I don’t have the words to express how thankful I am for the help they have given me. They have all been respectful and eager to work. I never knew I could find such wonderful help. Thank You!!!

I will be praying for the right people to come to you. I pray you will continually look to the Lord. He is your strength, your healer, your provider. Wait for His timing in all things. I know that is not easy, but please find peace in the knowledge that others are praying for you.

Thank you for a wonderful resource. My realtor told me about the site yesterday when I asked her about handyman services.

I placed an ad this morning and received a call about 15 minutes later! Two young men came by within the hour to look at the deck work I needed done. They are also going to fix my neighbor’s sagging fence.

My only suggestion is that someone should help your patriots in bidding on jobs. They only wanted $10-$12/per hour. Since handymen usually receive much more, we suggested paying them $20/per hour. They will be doing the work this weekend.

I received another phone call about 2 hours later, so I realized that I needed to delete my ad. I took this marine’s name & number for future jobs.

Thank you again for your wonderful service.

This is wonderful! I am a recent widow that needs a pair of young hands to help me around the yard. I am SOOOOO happy that this site is available.

I feel honored to be able to help a serviceman and thrilled to know there’s someone out there to help the “old lady”.

Sincerely,

Eileen Cummings

Gentlemen:

I just wanted to let you know I did utilize your site again and would like to recommend the young Marine, Joe Sharpe, whom answered my posting. He was prompt, knowledgeable and very efficient as well as the normal politeness that I find comes with almost all our military. I am a United Airlines flight attendant whom asked a military passenger on his way to the Sandbox if he or anyone he knew did work on the side and he told me of your site. Its has been great.

Its funny but my own son whom is an officer in the Army and usually does my small projects did not know of this site. He’s based out of Texas and my home is in California so its not easy for him to get to here and why I asked the young man on my plane.

Thank you for providing this service to our military and letting us show our appreciation by hiring them. I will spread the word. Especially in this economy its a Win/Win situation.

Btw, because of his work in my bathroom I am hiring him and another Marine friend of his to do some kitchen remodeling for me, also.

Again, many thanks,

Terri Karas

Hi Mr. & Mrs. Baird:

I’m a senior…(very senior)…retired family physician currently living in Palm Springs. I always told my patients to “never retire” and I’ve followed my own advice. I’m now the only employee of my mini-corporation and I do medical analysis for law firms. I spend four days a month in San Diego working with a fine law firm there. I am thinking of moving to the area soon as the summers of 3-digit heat are not my idea of fun-living.

I came across your website by accident and will certainly need some help ‘nesting’ in my new home in San Diego. You are at the top of my ‘blog-list’ and I shall certainly be contacting you for some “Patriot-Help” as soon as I can make the move.

Keep up the great work you are doing. There’s no greater calling than to substantially help out others who really need assistance. I found that in medicine and you are finding that out every single day doing what you are doing.

Best and have a great Easter,

Donald N. ReVille, M.D.

Mark and Tori Baird -

Thank you very much for creating hirepatriots.com.
I have used it many times in the last year and have had wonderful experiences.

I provide lunch, beverages and snacks and I usually pay them $15/hr. I use them for a whole day. I love writing check to them.
This is a wonderful program because I can trust the patriots who arrive and they do very good work. In addition, they are very polite and respectful. I are very respectful of them and I get to know them and thank them for their military service.

I’m 64 and my husband is 70. We need lots of help and we love the patriots.

Thanks again -

Hello to all at HirePatriots -

Thank you so much for your support! I am a 21 yr old Marine Reservist living in Carlsbad. My unit just received the call to activate to deploy to Iraq and I’ll be going next month in March. I felt I ought to express my sincere gratitude to Mark and Tori Baird for their work to help my fellow brothers and sisters. I remember reading the newspaper when it was hiremarines.com and had just started. From that I found a job helping a sweet, elderly lady in Escondido with yard work. It helped me financially and would make her day as well. You’ve helped to unite the civilian and military communities and give people who want to help a way to feel good about what they’ve done. I’ve used the website so many times from yard work, to p/t jobs, to moving, etc. I’ve always had a pleasant experience with those whom I’ve worked for. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you so very much.

Mark, Tori and Mike,

I am writting this to thank you for all of your hard work with this site. I am a Marine who has been in for 19 years. I have gotten may part-time jobs from your site and met many interesting people.

My wife has had to go on disability recently due to a brain tumor. The tumor has been taken care of but she now has seizures do to the swelling of the good brain tissue around the tumor. Because of her going on disability we have needed to make up about 600 dollars a month. For the last 2 months I have been able to make that much and a little more. Thank you. Without your web site Christmas would have been very lean.

I tell all of my troops about your site every chance I get. I would ask a small favor from you though. Is there a way you could put a spot on the site for the service members to say thank you to the people who post jobs on here. I think your newsletter will come close but something on the site would be great. The people I have done jobs for have been wonderfull. I have thanked them personally and would like to thank them in a public forum.

Thank you again.
Keith Margeson

First let me say your program is wonderful. A friend of mine hired a Marine and he did a wonderful job so she kept finding things for him to do around her home in Vista .

I am wondering if you do speaking engagements? I am president-elect for a local Insurance Women Association and I am in charge of booking speakers. I know your topic would be interesting. Thank you for your response.

Mark, you have an incredible testimony. Thank you for creating this great network. I am an Adult Sunday School teacher and host Christian Men’s Breakfast and enjoy that very much. I just finished up a five contract as Director, Business Development-US West Operations/Business Management Consultant for one of the largest Defense Contractors in the World–managing 20 dealerships in 27 states.

For a long time, the military member has needed a hope, and a voice during multiple difficult transitions that are unique to the military family. You provide that connection and avenue of peace.

My wife and I are praying God’s blessings up you…please visit us in San Antonio Texas anytime.

After failing to find anyone to replace our legal assistant, I listed the job on HirePatriots.Com. We had so many wonderful applicants it was really difficult to choose just one. We finally did and are very pleased with her.

Thank you for helping us fill that position. We will certainly look to you for help if we ever need to fill another position with our firm. Thank you for providing a great service, both to us and to the men and women of the military.

I sent you a message on Wednesday asking that you assist me in finding someone to do some yard work for me. I had a call the very next morning.

David (a Marine) — sorry I didn’t get his last name –came to work for me this morning and did a fabulous job — did exactly what I told him and in good time. He is going to come back and do some more work for me in a week or two.

I am soooo satisfied with him and just want you to know that you are doing a wonderful service to these young Marines — and to little, old ladies.

Thank you — Lois K. Misiewicz

Thank you so much for your help yesterday (9/3). 2 wonderful marines came and moved my sons furniture. He is now settled in his new apartment. You can remove the request from the web-site. We will certainly use your service again many times in the future when we need help. My son’s computer service is still installed or he would have also sent his thanks.

Greetings,

My husband and I, both retired Navy, can’t thank you enough for this absolutely SUPERB web site!! As the USMC would say, BZ!!!!! I am a retired Navy nurse. I was in from “64 to 90. My first duty station was Oakland in 1965…my patients were all Marines, amputees – Vietnam casualties. SO, I DO LOVE MARINES!! We posted for someone to come and help us with our 1 1/3 acre yard and within 24 hrs had about 5 responses. I contacted the first one, “Big Al” who came a few days later and he did an absolutely fantastic job for us. As his schedule permits, he will be back to work again. Also contacted the second responder, a Ist SGT, who has 5 children. He and his oldest son came by this last weekend and they will both be here next week to help us with multiple chores.

I am so enthused about your site that I even put an article in our church newsletter and I continue to tell everyone I come in contact with all over the country about what you are doing. It is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Keep it up and may God Bless you. What a super WIN, WIN solution!!! We don’t hire illegals, our military folk (who don’t earn what they’re worth to begin with!!!) get some extra cash (and nothing is declared so they get the full amt without paying into taxes etc.) Again, our heart felt thanks for what you are doing. Keep it up and please do let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!! Will also see if I can get your site published in the Navy Nurse Corps Assoc. Newsletter!!! God Bless, Sandy Holmes :) ))))

Dear Mark,

Just another word of praise and thanks!! Our neighbors used the site two weeks ago and were as delighted as we were and he’s told at least 4 more folks about it, so hope that as the word spreads, our military personnel will all be able to earn some extra cash.

Several weeks ago I attended the Board meeting of our local Navy Nurse Corps Assoc. and brought up your site. There will be an article about it in our next newsletter!!! Nancy Owen is our local chapter President and I will forward and e-mail that she sent to me for you. She’s very involved with several Veterans organizations here in the county and hopes that they will help you out as well. Take care and again BZ!!! Sandy Holmes :) )))))

Hello,

I am currently stationed at the below station in California. I have recently been introduced to your site and have helped out twice. I love it. I am getting ready to transfer back to Hampton roads Virginia and I have been checking out the jobs there and found that it is not utilized as much as it is in CA. I was wondering if there is any way I can get some bumper stickers. I was also thinking of having a large window sticker made for the back window on my bronco and would like your permission to do so. I have been in the NAVY for 12 years and I wish I would have had this opportunity when I first came in. I want all the people who work for and with me to know about your site and all the people who support our military. My junior guys have been checking out the jobs as well. Several of today’s junior enlisted are having problems paying their bills because of the raise in gas prices and everything else that has risen because of the gas prices. If there are any other ways I can help to advertise your web site please let me know.

Two of your very nice young men came to our house today to help with some yard work. Very hard working, astonishingly polite and friendly at the same time. It’s so reassuring to know that our country’s safety is in the hands of people like this! Thanks for this website! — T. Gilbert

Thank you so much for this website.

I recently posted a one day job and had wonderful response. Two very responsible Marines showed up on time and assembled and installed cabinets in my garage.

I was so pleased with them that they are coming back in a few weeks to install more cabinets.

I have been telling all my friends about what a great website it is and am encouraging them to post their one day jobs.

It is of great comfort to me to know that the Marines are there to protect me. Thank you for being of service to our wonderful country.

I would really like to see www.HirePatriots.com affiliate with the UVC at the local level, and if you can provide me the necessary contact information, will gratefully add you to the Roster, and our website as a Resource provider. There are many other “factoids” and benefits available to our active duty troops that come to light over time, and the UVC seems to be the conduit of such information lately. I can’t imagine why… “Knowledge IS Power!”

Hi,

Thank you so much for the website and for all of your hard work. My son is an F 18 Pilot in the Marine Corps and I truly appreciate everything you are doing to help our troops. I have used the site a number of times and have always been so happy with the results. I have met such wonderful, hard working, respectful young men who have helped me with gardening, drywalling and moving.

The reason I am emailing is to suggest a way of increasing the awareness in the community. As you well know many illegal aliens wait outside Home Depot Stores for day work. Is it possible to have large vinyl banners made that read “Hire Patriots” in bold print and “Navy, Marine, National Guard, Air Force” written below. I personally would be willing to gather friends and hold a banner. With Illegal Immigration being the #1 domestic issue I believe this would garner alot of attention. It certainly would cause possible employers to make a conscious decision….illegals or patriots??? I also think the media would be all over it. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Thanks again for your incredible website.

Linda G

Dear Mark,

It is because of people like you in this country that I am proud to have served and protected our freedoms and the Constitution with my life. As a former Iraq War Veteran I have recently ran into a few problems and do not know where else to turn for advice. I have read all about what it is that you do, I am now currently following you on Twitter and saw the last Video you uploaded to Youtube.

Mark,

Just wanted to give you another quick update as to how things are going. First of all, I want to say how greatly your encouragement and assistance has helped me thus far. I know that all the glory always belongs to God, but If I am correct, he always finds ways to demonstrate through his followers just how great he truly is. Having said that, yes, all the Glory does go to him indeed, but it has been you who has been able to show it.

Once again, Mark, thank you for everything. I do look forward to meeting you sometime. Until then, please take care. May God always bless you and your family and have a great rest of the week.

Mark and Tori,

We wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your dream and your passion for our nations heroes.

We look forward to working closely with you both in the years ahead. Thanks for your leadership, your prayers, your wisdom and your willingness to help make life better for others.
